Unlocking the Doors To Higher Profits
Management seems to enjoy making business complex. Maybe they think complexity creates job security. Reality is regardless of the size of the business, there are only a handful of functions in most businesses that warrant close attention. The funny thing is, the majority of management's time is spent in non-value added areas of the business.
In previous issues, the areas of cash and liquidity were touched upon. The reason is if you are out of cash, you generally are out of business. The other areas that are largely ignored include: marketing, employee productivity, asset utilization, transaction infrastructure and expense rationalization. These will form the basis for continuing information on how to make a lot of money and spend less time doing it. |
